Hello, Beltalowda and Inyalowda!

We wanted to let you know that next week, on Tuesday October 10th, we are going to be charging your cards in Backerkit, to start our shipping process for Wave 1 Shipping. This means that you will be charged for any outstanding balances on your account for the campaign in addition to the shipping charges for your first wave. Please be sure to update any card information if necessary before October 10th.

Similarly, we’ll be pulling address data for any and all customers receiving the single issue comics or books in Wave 1 on Thursday October 12th. Please make sure that your address is up to date. If you need to change it, we’ve got a handy dandy video ready for you, showing you what you’ll need to do:

We’re sending you a transmission from BOOM! Headquarters to let you know that Issue #4 of THE EXPANSE: DRAGON TOOTH is out now! Be sure to check your Backerkit messages to access and download your free digital edition! Join Avasarala and Drummer as they piece together the true nature of the mysterious “Dragon Tooth”, all while the Rocinante joins a battle group of OPA pirate-hunters for a final showdown with the notorious pirate Sohiro, but they get more than they bargained for! And remember, you can always pick up physical copies of the regular editions of THE EXPANSE: DRAGON TOOTH #4 and support a small business at your local comic shop!

Plus, we’re excited to show off for the first time the stunning variant covers available exclusively through this campaign by Jamie McKelvie for THE EXPANSE: DRAGON TOOTH #3 & #4 featuring Avasarala and the Rocinante. These, along with the previously revealed first issue cover, will arrive in the first wave of shipments at the end of the year.

In other campaign related news, we wanted to inform you all that due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA & WGA Strike, we have decided to postpone the scheduling of the Virtual Cast Reading that was unlocked in our last stretch goal until after the strike has been resolved.

This is not a decision we take lightly, however, we feel that it is important to show solidarity with the actors and writers of the show, and to not draw away attention from their efforts. Please know that we are keeping a close eye on the situation and have a plan ready to go for when a resolution is reached!

We want to make sure that you, our customers and THE EXPANSE fans, are well informed and are receiving proactive communication regarding changes to our plans, so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your understanding as we all navigate this.
